Bajo
made this remarks in an exclusive interview with West Coast Radio after The
Gambia’s 2-0 away defeat to Cameroon in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations
qualifiers played at the Omni Sports Stadium in Limbe on Saturday.
Bajo
said the country did not have quality players that could qualify for the
continent’s biggest football showpiece.
Bajo
stated that The Gambia need more quality players in order to compete and
qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Bajo
hailed the players and the coaching staff for their efforts during the
qualifiers despite failing to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup Nations.
The
Gambia are yet to make their debut in the continent’s biggest football fiesta
since its inception in 1957.
