Seven cyclists from the Gambia Cycling Association have been confirmed to have left The Gambia on Sunday for Dakar, Senegal, to compete in an international cycling competition known as “Tour to Senegal” organised by Senegal Cycling Association.
According to the association’s Secretary General Baboucarr Jabai, the Gambian cyclists were accompanied by the association’s head coach, Momodou Lamarana Bah and its vice president Edrissa Njie, known as ‘Chicko’.
The competition was set to commence yesterday Monday 21 through 26 April 2015.
SG Jabai further revealed that ‘Tour to Senegal’ would kick off from Dakar through Mburr, Chess and St. Louis to other parts of Senegal, with participants from various parts of Africa and Europe.
Participants of the Gambia Cycling Association included Buba Jobe, Sarjo Ceesay, Samba Bah, Samba Jallow, Musa Fatty, Mamadou Barry and Ousman Janneh.
