The
Gambia will start intensive training for the 2019 African Cup of Nations
qualifiers away to Benin next month in Porto-Novo.
The
Scorpions, under the guidance of Coach Sang Ndong, is currently training with
home-based players scouted from the domestic league for the continent’s biggest
football fiesta qualifiers away to the fellow West Africans next month.
Coach
Sang Ndong will use the next three weeks to prepare his squad to be fit and
ready for their upcoming qualifiers before hosting Algeria in their second
match in March 2018 in Banjul.
The
Gambia failed to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations after finishing
bottom-place in their group with only 2 points from six qualifiers.
