Former SSHFC MD summoned by special court

Justice Emmanuel Nkea of the Special Criminal Court in Banjul on Monday ordered that summons be served on Tumbul Danso, former managing director of the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation (SSHFC), to appear before the court to be cross-examined by the defence in the ongoing economic crimes case involving Mam Sait Njie.

The court order was made following the application by the defence counsel, Antouman Gaye, for the judgment to be arrested, and an order for Tumbul Danso to come and give evidence in court, as he handled some transactions in his capacity as the managing director of the SSHFC.

The case continues today.
