The Point has confirmed through family sources the arrest and detention of former Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service, who was also the Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Dr Njogu Bah, according to family sources, was arrested on Friday, a day after he was removed as Minister of Petroleum.
Though no official reason was given as to his arrest, family sources said Njogu remained in detention at the time of going to press.
Meanwhile, former Attorney General and Justice Minister, Lamin Jobarteh and former Solicitor General and Legal Secretary, Pa Harry Jammeh, are also still detained, according to family sources.
The two were arrested on 22nd May 2013.
Two other permanent secretaries at the Ministry of Agriculture, Alphu Marong and Sait Drammeh alongside Sheikh Tijan Sosseh, project coordinator of the West African Agricultural Productivity Programme (WAAPP), and Musa Houma, director-general of the Department of Agriculture, who were all arrested last week, also remained in detention as at the time of going to press.
