The first Eucharistic celebration of Rev. Fr. Tanislas came on Sunday 25th January just a day after been ordained, the long awaited day for the Resurrection Church Parishioners in Brikama and the satellite out stations all around. The ordination and the first Mass had been highly anticipated in November last year but due to unforeseen circumstances deferred respectively to the 24 and 25 January 2015.

The young energetic newly ordained priest had a colourful ordination double him was another freshly ordained on the same day Rev. Fr. James Mendy from Fajikunda parish, who had his deacon attachment to priesthood in our parish. While we awaited in the weeks and months that lead to their ordination at an open Mass on St Peter’s ground in Lamin, Kombo North, West Coast Region. He too has been no less regarded with much affection as an aged old Parishioner despite his short period of stay.

Fr. Tanislas is from a humble but pious family with unprecedented sacrifice three of their family members to a religious life.Last year saw a similar ordination of his big brother Rev. Fr. Victor Ndecky currently the Second parish priest in Kanifing parish. Not the least too his sister Josephine became a Nun in her first profession in 2004 and the final professional vow last year 2014.And according to stories there may be even perhaps one more sister from the family in the offing by the grace of God.His father Albeno Ndecky often narrates an intriguing personal story to his friends and acquaintance of how he had the wisdom to fulfil his desire to be a clergyman in religious life. However, his passionate dream is what had miraculously became true by the grace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ to be manifested into his children.

Presentation of Mary nursery school was the venue of the memorable event last Sunday 25 January.Hundreds of Parishioners and visitors from far and near came to grace the occasion including Bwiam Parishioners where he was attached as a deacon in the run up to the big day in his life and giving up all in his life and giving up all in his life to for God and God and God alone, serving the Almighty God.

After the first Mass celebration followed the social get-together of people of different background enjoying God gift to all and sundry.

Mr. Albeno Ndecky and family can only be rewarded by the Lord Jesus for their bold move to offer three in one (3 from 1 family) they indeed followed what Jesus had said to Andrew and Simon/Peter James and John “Come I will make you fishers of Men”.MK. 1:17
