As part of efforts to promote and develop football in the world, FIFA is set to support The Gambia with 500,000 US dollars to refurbish the National Technical Training Centre (NTTC) in Old Yundum, reported The Standard newspaper yesterday.
The aid is meant to improve the facilities at the NTTC, which was donated to The Gambia by the FIFA Goal Project in 2003 to promote and develop football in the country.
FIFA development officer for West Africa Sampon Kablan is due to arrive in the country for the signing ceremony of the NTTC refurbishment project, which was lobbied by Mustapha Kebbeh’s GFF executive last year.
