One Ebrima Jammeh, a father, and his son, Omar Jammeh, were yesterday arraigned before Justice Ikpala of the Special Criminal Court in
When the case was called, state counsel Ms M. Mbollic announced her representation for the state, while there was no representation for the accused persons.
But the father told the court that he has a lawyer, but the counsel was not in court.
According to the particulars of offence, on 4 October 2010 at Bundung Borehole, the accused persons, Ebrima Jammeh and Omar Jammeh, allegedly murdered one Fatou Badjie and set her body on fire.
The accused persons could not take their plea due to the lack of a defence counsel.
The case was subsequently adjourned till 23 May 2011, for plea taking.
