The family case involving Isatou Jah, Adama Dubois and Sam Dubois continued recently at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Tabally.

Testifying, the third accused, Sam Dubois, who says he lives in Bakau Farakono, told the court that on the day in question, he heard the voice of his sister, who is the 2nd accused, and went to the scene to find out what was happening.

He said the complainant used abusive words on him and said to him: “Are you brave enough to ask about the problem.”

He adduced that he told the complainant not to insult him again, because he was only trying to enquire about what was happening with his sister.

The third accused further told the court that the first accused told him not to say a word because the complainant is his step-mother but instead asked him to go back to the house.

He added that the first accused pushed him inside the house and locked the door preventing him from coming out.

The case was adjourned until 23 December 2010.
