Fakebba Drammeh, alias Tiger Wood is the winner of this week's Gambia Golf Association (GGA) organised Golf Competition, held at the Fajara Golf Course last Tuesday 9th March 2010.
Fakebba Drammeh shot a 4 under par 41 in a total of twelve (12) holes and received a cash prize of D900.
Bakary Touray, alias Bax took second position with a shoot of 1 under par 44 in a round of twelve holes and also received a cash prize of D400.
Tijan Kuyateh occupied third position with a level par 45 in a total of twelve holes and also received a cash prize of D200. The week's competition features seven professional Golfers.
Speaking to Pa Famara J. J. Jatta, a professional Golfer of the Gambia Golf Association (GGA), who doubles as a member of the Fajara Golf Club shortly after the competition, thanked the Gambia Golf Association and the sponsors of their weekly competition for their support.
J. J. Jatta as he is widely known also appealed to other sponsors to come on board and sponsor the professional Golfers so that they can raise the flag of the country to the highest height.
He also thanked the caddies for their encouragement and support to the professional Golfers.
J. J. Jatta whose aim is to build a Golf Academy finally called on the government, hotel owners, companies and individuals to support the game of golf.
