As part of their office support to welfare of the child, DING-DING Bantaba federation recently ended a three-day child right training for 50 students at its head office in Sibanor.
Speaking at closing ceremony, the Board chairman of DING-DING Bantaba Federation, Mr. Pa Joof urged the students to respect their parents, teachers and fellow students. He revealed that the training was geared toward increasing students' understanding of child right issues and as an avenue in reducing the higher misconception and misunderstanding surrounding the right based issues.
Mr. Joof challenged the participants to filter and share information with their peers.
For his part Lamin F Bojang, child and youths officer at DING-DING bantaba federation congratulated all the participants for successfully taking part in the training. He described the training as one of the series training that his office would provid to young people of Foni Bereft, Foni Banta Karani and Foni Kansala districts. He urged them to use knowledge gain from the training wisely, stating that understanding of child rights is to help them to ensure promotion of discipline in schools. The training he pointed, was aimed to enchance cordial relationship between students and their teachers. He cautioned them against any act of misinterpretation of the lessons learned, as he continued to describe them as ambassadors of DING-DING Bantaba in their various schools.
Bojang inclusion assured them of his office full support, noting that DING-DING bantaba federation is a child centered organization.
The participants were drawn from 25 lower and senior secondary schools.
