Kanteh recently continued giving evidence in an ongoing assault case involving
him before Magistrate Isatou Janneh of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court.
The accused told the court it was the complainant who assaulted him, and it was the complainant who attacked and insulted him.
“I revenged and prevented myself from assault,” he said, adding that he told the court he did not assault the complainant, but instead it was the complainant who offended him.
It was put to him by the prosecuting officer that it was as a result of his assault that the complainant sustained injury, the witnessed denied carrying any assault on the complainant that caused injury on him.
He added that it was the complainant who attacked and assaulted him, and the complainant rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint against him and he was arrested by the police for the alleged offence.
The case continues.
