In his testimony, Sulayman Janneh, who is also the sixth accused person, told the court he did not know Sangparre Mendy nor was he the one who destroyed his property.

He said that in 2013, he went to the said land for measurement together with Kang Dembo Janneh, Kebba Janneh, Musa Janneh and Seedy Ali Janneh because they were the owners of the land.

According to him, while they were on the said land, they had a noise of a truck and the first accused person, Kang Dembo Janneh, went there to see who returned and told them to stop measurement and go home.

He said the 1st accused person further told them that some people were claiming ownership of the said land and they all went home.

Under cross-examination by the prosecutor, Cpl 2294 Lamin Jammeh, the accused, said the reason they left the land to go home was because they did not want any problem.

He added that they were the owners of the land in question as the land belonged to their forefathers.
