Magistrate Effim of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently granted court bail in the sum of D100, 000 to one Lamin Touray, who is standing trial on charges of obtaining money by false pretence.
According to the particulars of offence, on 23rd December 2009, at Brikama-Town, Western Region, the accused Lamin Touray, with intent to defraud obtained the sum of D28, 000 from one Sanna Bojang on the representation that he would procure a vehicle for him, knowing that such representation was false.
The accused who pleaded not guilty to the charge was also asked to produce two Gambian sureties.
The case was adjourned to 12th January 2010.
