Banjul Sports Committee that has been crying for the lack of sponsorship for this year's Knock-out Championship final could now consider themselves lucky because they are now enjoying the sponsorship of Corr Enterprise.

Ndongo Camara, the General Manager of Corr Enterprise on Thursday in his office presented 2 sets of Jerseys for the knock-out finalists, 100-T-shirts and D25.000 to Banjul Sports Committee.

The donation, according to him, is part of his office's support towards the development of sports in the country.

Ebou Faye, the Secretary-General of Banjul Sports Committee who received the donated items, on behalf of the committee described the gesture as timely, noting that it came at a time when Banjul Sports Committee is on the verge of going into its Knock-out final which could not have been possible without the support of Corr Enterprise, while thanking them for what he described as a wonderful initiative.

The gesture is also expected to raise the standards of Corr Enterprise.

Ndongo Camara himself a Banjulian told reporters shortly after the presentation that Corr Enterprise will always open its door for all sporting disciplines.

He was however quick to add that they will only assist disciplined teams.

The donated items were purposely used for the knock-out final, played on Saturday between Miami and Digi Dambi.  Miami, who claimed the title after laying a1-0, win over their opponents. They each bagged D15, 000 and D10, 000, respectively.
