The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has recently announced the change of dates for the qualifiers of the Total Africa Cup of Nations 2021.
This follows the meeting of CAN Organizing
Committee including stakeholders, representatives and the Cameroonian
authorities held in Cameroon recently.
It
has been decided to change the dates of the final tournament of the Total
Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2021 from June-July to January – February of the
same year.
In
a communique dispatched to all Member Associations, CAF consequently has
decided that the Qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2021 and FIFA World
Cup Qatar 2022 would be in order to accommodate this change.
This
development would mean therefore that Qualifier matches would resume in March
2020 instead of August-September 2020.
Thus
the Scorpions will play the Panthers of Gabon over two legs from the 23rd to
31st March 2020.
