Business as usual! The Gambia Experience is excited to get holidays back on track

Jan 30, 2017, 11:42 AM

Following the swift removal of the FCO’s travel advice ‘against all but essential travel’ to The Gambia, UK tour operator The Gambia Experience is delighted to recommence flights and package holidays from Friday 27 January.

The company’s Managing Director, Chris Rowles, returned from Banjul on 20 January, following a 10 day visit to support Gambia Experience customers and the resort team with their repatriation procedure. Since his return, Chris has commented:

“Our next charter flight (on 27 January) is fully booked in Economy and upgraded Star Class. Flights for next week and into February are also selling well as consumer confidence in The Gambia returns. We will be operating a Tuesday and Friday flight from Gatwick from now to the end of April, and then switching to a weekly departure throughout the summer. We are already receiving holiday enquiries from customers and travel agents which is great to see, and with 2017 being our 30th year of operations, we’re excited to be looking ahead to a bright and positive future in The Gambia.”

The Gambia Experience would like to extend its thanks to all partners it works with in The Gambia for helping to reassure guests, and to customers, who allowed the repatriation process to be conducted smoothly. The operator is also delighted to have received positive feedback from customers for its efforts during this time.
