Gambian
striker, Bubacarr Jobe has extended his stay in the Swedish top flight league
after penning a two-year contract with top flight team Mjällby AIF on Friday.
The
24-year-old guided his team to promotion from Swedish Superettan (Second
Division League) to the Allsvebskan (First Division League) after playing an
instrumental role as he scored ten goals in twenty-eight matches.
Jobe,
who joined Mjällby from Skövde AIK in 2018, has since then scored in total 20
goals for the Hällevik-based team.
Mjällby
AIF gained promotion from the Swedish Second Division after finishing 1st
position in the league with 57 points, two points above 2nd position Varberg
after playing 30 league matches.
The
former Toronto FC and Texas Rush player was part of the Gambian side for both
the Angola and DR Congo games in the African Cup of National qualifiers.
He
scored for the Scorpions during their 2019 AFCON qualifiers game against Benin
in Banjul.
