United on Sunday hammered the newly-promoted side Nema Youths 4-0 in the week
six fixtures played at the Dembadou mini stadium in Sukuta to over-take Gunjur
United in the 2014-2015 West Coast Regional third division league.
The victory was Brufut United’s fifth straight win in the West Coast Regional third tier, with a single point ahead of second place Gunjur United, who drew 2-2 with Foni Berefet at the Bulock football field on the same day.
Winger Ousman Bojang Mesut Ozil gave Gunjur United the lead in the 15th minute of the game.
Bojang netted the second goal for Gunjur United in the 22nd minute of the game to complete his brace, before the hosts levelled the scores through winger Mamadi Ceesay Ballack and Kalilu Jarjue in the 39th and 45th minutes of the game, to share the spoils.
Nema United beat Sifoe United 1-0 at the Nema Kunku football field on Saturday to clinch their first-ever win the regional league, whilstthe newly-promoted side Sanchaba Sulay Football Academy drew goalless with Busumbala in the all-Kombo North derby game played at the Dembadou mini stadium.
