Brikama Sports Committee increases league, knockout prizes

Brikama Sports Committee (BSC) has increased the prizes for the 2015 Brikama league and knockout competitions.

The cash-prize increase was announced at the pre-season held in Brikama at the weekend, as the country’s summer biggest football fiesta is fast approaching.

The winner for the 2015 Brikama league will receive D50,000 instead of D40,000, whilst league runners-up will receive D40,000 instead of D30,000.

The winner for the 2015 Brikama knockout will receive D20,000 instead of D15,000, whilst runners-up for the knockout will receive D15,000.

Meanwhile, the 2015 Brikama summer biggest football carnival season traditional curtain raiser, the Super Cup final, set for Saturday 8 August 2015, at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

The much-awaited Super Cup final will feature the league and knockout champions - Fortune FC and Yarambamba FC – in match described by many football enthusiasts in Brikama and its satellite areas as crunch clash.

The Farato-based outfit beat Yarambamba in the league and knockout finals to clinch a double in Brikamanawettan last season.

The New Yundum-based outfit will be hoping for revenge after losing to the Farato-based outfit in the league and knockout finals last season to claim the Super Cup title.
