Brikama Nawetan Update

Brikama Youth and Sports Committee (BYSC) 2011-2012 has continued to produce spectacular and exciting encounters at the Brikama Box bar Mini-stadium.

At the weekend, African Light FC defeated Kitty United FC 1-0 in group F to keep their hopes of reaching the second round of the Brikama Nawetan championship.

African Light FC’s only goal of the game was registered by Matarr Ceesay in the 56th minute of the game from a brilliant strike to give his side their second victory in the new season and they collected the maximum points at the expense of Kitty United FC.

Kitty FC fought back and created few clear goal-scoring opportunities in front of African Light FC’s goal mouth but they failed to capitalize on their limited goal-scoring opportunities and thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of African Light FC.

In another development, the reigning league and Super Cup champs, Commit FC, have continued to maintain their unbeaten run in the ongoing Gunjur Nawetan after beating struggling Sambouyang 1-0 in group B at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field on Wednesday.
