B.B. Rovers FC on 19 October 2010 defeated S.V. Laar FC by 2-1 in their final group D encounter of the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation nawetaan.
Yaya Jatta opened the score line for B.B. Rovers FC in the 16th minute from a sensible finisher after capitalising on striker Mamadi Dambelly's brilliant cross from the left side of the field.
Baboucarr Sonko levelled the score line for S.V. Laar FC in the 38th minute.
Yaya Jatta sealed the victory for B.B. Rovers FC in the 62nd minute of the game from a wonderful strike after capitalising on Mamadi Dambelly's pass when he made a sensible run on the right side of the field and slotted in a brilliant cross for Yaya Jatta to tap into S.V. Laar FC's net to complete his brace of the game and his third goal of the tournament.
B.B. Rovers FC have now collected seven points in five games while S.V. Laar FC have eight points in five encounters.
Speaking to reporters shortly after the game, the head coach of S.V. Laar FC, Essa Tamba, said the game was not an easy one for them "because B.B. Rovers FC were fighting to get away from the relegation zone during the game".
He also revealed that six of his key players were not part of the lineup as some of them were nursing injuries while others were under suspension, which made the game very difficult for them.
Omar Jarju, team manager for B.B. Rovers FC, said he was very happy with the victory, adding that he was very proud of his players who performed "extremely well" during the game.
Yaya Jatta, the double goal scorer for B.B. Rovers FC, said he was very happy scoring both goals for his team. He added: "I prepared for this game very well."
