Ball Conge FC beaten by Abuko United in East Nawetaan

Defending Nawetaan and Super Cup Champions, Ball Conge FC, on Friday suffered a 3-0 defeat in the hands of Abuko United in the ongoing Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) Nawetaan Competition game played at the Mini Stadium.

Midfield maestro Sulayman Marr opened the score line for Abuko United in the 6th minute of the game, while Kalifa Jarra made it 2-0 for Abuko United in the 39th minute of the game from a clever finish and led his side to a 2-0 advantage, at the end of the first half.

Bakar Njie sealed the victory for Abuko United in the 73rd minute of the game from a sensible drive, to earn his side their first win of the competition.

Both teams have now collected three points each in two encounters.

In the 3 pm kick-off of the same day, Cannon FC drew 0-0 with Zurich FC leaving them with two points in two encounters, while Zurich FC only collected a single point in two games.

On Saturday, Medina FC beat Wailes FC by 2-1 in the 9 am encounter played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

At the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium, on Saturday, Pencha Bi FC beat Unicorns FC by a goal to nil, with Alieu Ceesay scoring the only goal of the game for Pencha Bi FC in the 76th minute of the game.

Pencha Bi FC have now collected seven points in three encounters, while Unicorns FC collected three points in three games.

In the 3 pm kick-off of the same day and grounds, Kanifing Estate FC hammered Dippa Kunda United by 3-1.

Both teams now collected four points each in three encounters.

On the same day at Lamin village, Universal FC defeated Shooting Stars FC by 2-1 in the ongoing Lamin Nawetaan played at the Late Sanna Jatta Memorial football grounds.

Elsewhere in Ndofan village on the same day, Mbollet Ba FC drew 1-1 with Jokor FC of Fass Njaga Choi village in the ongoing Ndofan Sports Committee Nawetaan Competition sponsored by Seedy M. B. Kinteh, President of the Gambia Football Association (GFA), and played at the Biri-Biri Mini Stadium.

Baboucarr Senghore gave Mbollet Ba FC the lead in the 15th minute of the game, but his effort was cancelled by Modou Nyan for Jokor FC of Fass Njaga Choi village in the 48th minute of the game.

In the opening game of the Under-15 Nawetaan competition sponsored by Ngean Marong, on Thursday, Ndofan FC beat Black Stars FC of Fass Njaga Choi FC by 2-1.

Biram Sarr scored a brace for Ndofan FC in the 35th and 55th minutes of the game, while Babou Jobe scored Black Stars FC’s consolation goal in the 63rd minute of the game.
