Bag of Onions Lands Man in Court

Couple 335 Nying on 14th January, 2009 represented the Inspector- General of police in a case involving one Gibril Faal, who was arraigned before Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbackeh of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court for stealing a bag of onions, a charge he denied.

According to the particulars of the alleged offence, on or about the 2nd January 2009, at Dippakunda the accused stole one bag of onions valued at D250, being the property of one Kebba Touray.

The accused was granted bail on the deposition of D500 or the provision of a Gambian surety with a property of that value.

The case was adjourned to the 29th January 2009.
