Assault Lands Man in Court

Seedy Biko of Lamin Village was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates' Court, presided over by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh, charged with common assault.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused Seedy Biko, on 8 June 2009, at Lamin Village in Kombo North, wilfully and unlawfully assaulted one Mariama Dampha by hitting her with a stick. He denied the charge.

Meanwhile the accused Seedy Biko was granted court bail in the sum of D2, 000.

The case was adjourned to 16th June 2009.
