Alleged Rape Suspect Remanded

One Modou Sowe was on Thursday remanded in custody by Magistrate John Njie of the Brikama Magistrates' Court for the offence of rape.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused on 11April 2008 at Brikama Nyambai allegedly raped a 13- year-old girl name (withheld).

Although he denied the charge, he was nonetheless remanded in custody. He is expected back in court soon.
