Alleged Goat Thieves Remanded

MagistratePa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates' Court last Tuesday remanded two accused persons Sheriff Manneh and Nfamara Manneh in custody at the Mile Two Central Prison.

The two accused persons were alleged to have on 25th June 2008 at Tabokoto garage stolen a goat.

In his testimony the police witness Mamadi Manneh told the court that on the day in question he was at Tabokoto car park when he saw the accused persons with a goat. He said he asked the accused as to where they were taking the goat and told him they had a naming ceremony.

He added that they then entered his vehicle and took them to the Wellingara Police Station were he made his statement.
