The alleged theft case involving former employee of Gam-food Company and a Mauritanian national, Muhammed Mucktarr, continued recently at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul before Justice Emmanuel Nkea.

It continued with the cross-examination of one Bhan Wankini, who told the court the accused did not issue a receipt to him directly but instead to his brother.

When it was put to him by the defence counsel that the accused did not sell any items to him personally, the witness admitted that he did not have direct contact with the accused.

He stated under cross-examination that the contact was between his brother and the accused.

“My brother is here at Jimpex in the shop selling,” he said.

The case continues on 25 July 2013.
