The case of assault causing actual bodily harm involving one Fatou Kah continued recently at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court with the testimony of the complainant.
Ramu Tambedou testified as the first prosecution witness and told the court that she knew the accused and on 28 September 2011, she was inside her shop at Old Yundum Market together with her employee and a customer.
She said while at the shop, they heard a noise outside, adding that her employee and the customer rushed out to see what was happening and when they returned, she asked them what happened and they told her it was an accident.
Still testifying, she told the court that while she was sitting under the veranda of her shop, the accused and two other women were standing in front of her shop, insulting and pointing at her.
Ms Tambedou further adduced that she told the accused that whatever she said to her, she was referring to her husband, adding that it was then the accused’s husband held her by her neck and they started beating her.
The case at that juncture was adjourned till 30 November 2011.
