Therefore as we emerge from Ramadan, we must go through the next eleven months with certainty of faith and all our actions must have the fragrance of the love and pleasure of Allah Almighty. We must do away with all unrighteous conducts with a sincere repulsion from the heart just like we endeavoured during the month of Ramadan.
The Eidul Fitr is not a moment of merry making, extravagance and disobedience to the commandments of Allah Almighty. It is a moment of the remembrance of the blessings of Allah Almighty especially for guiding us to Islam the true and living religion. On the day of Eid especially, and thereafter, we must be of the utmost assistance and service to the poor and needy among us. They must be fed and clothed for the sake of the love and pleasure of Allah Almighty; not for showing up. Everything must be done for them to happily participate in the celebrations of the Eid, and thereafter we should never let our poor and needy brothers and sisters go without food and clothing while we look on. Allah Almighty loves those who are dutiful to His creatures. These services to the poor are not privileges given to them; Islam considers it as their fundamental right and the obligation of the one rendering it.
On this blessed occasion, I extend to you the salaam, prayers and EID MUBARAK of His Holiness Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V (ATBA), Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Supreme and Spiritual Head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at. On behalf of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at the Gambia, Isay EID MUBARAK to everyone.
May Allah Almighty accept all the humble sacrifices we did during the Ramadan and fill our hearts with righteousness. May he guide and protect us from the evil whisperings of Satan and continue to shower His chociest favours and bounties upon the country and establish peace, security stability and prosperity upon our dear and beloved country, the Gambia. Ameen.
Wassalam
Yours Sincerely
