Governor Lamin Queen Jammeh made the commendation last Tuesday at the handing over of 18 beds to the junior staff of the hospital.The presentation was held at the hospital grounds.
The beds were built with the support of Islamic Development Bank and The Gambia government.The gesture by the management was aimed at furnishing the newly built quarters for staff to enhance effective service delivery and contribute to the attainment of quality healthcare service.
Chief Executive Officer of AFPRC General Hospital Dr Mamady Cham hailed the board of directors for their unflinching support. He said the management attached great importance to staff welfare and assured of his team’s fullest support and cooperation.
CEO Cham disclosed that the hospital has registered a reduction in death by 11.8 per cent and praised staff and workers for their support and cooperation.
Acting Head of Paediatric, Rakiatou Cole, on behalf of beneficiaries, assured of nurses’ commitment to the attainment of quality healthcare service delivery.
Lamin Bondi, principal nursing officer, thanked the management for their invaluable support to staff development.
Chief Ebrima Ansu Tamba Jammeh of Upper Babibou reiterated the need for staff to strengthen community relations in promoting healthcare service delivery.
