Accused testifies in court

Abdoukarim Jobe who was charged with shop breaking and conspiracy to commit a felony along with Abdourahman Saine and Roger Ndeky recently testified before Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke of the Kanifing Magistrate Court.

In his testimony, the accused Abdoukarim Jobe stated that he did not conspire with anyone to steal from the complainant (Bostin Idiakha).

According to him, a DVD that was found in his possession was given to him by the 1st accused Abdourahman Saine for safe-keeping and that he did not know how he got it.

He further narrated that, one day the 1st accused, Abdourahman Saine came with the CID and some police officers to his house and asked him for the DVD, which he gave him for safe-keeping.

He added that he gave him the said DVD, and then police officers conducted a search in his house but found nothing in his possession

Subsequently, he said he was arrested and taken to the police station.

The case continues.
