Gambian stars Abdou Darboe's Hønefoss will play away to Sarpsborg 08 tonight in the 3rd round of the NM Cup at the Sarpsborg Stadium.
The winner between the two sides will gain automatic qualification to the 4th round before reaching the final stage.
Lying second from bottom with 11 points on the Norwegian league table, Honesfoss will be working on securing a spot in the next stage like Gambian brother Ebrima Sohna's struggling side, Sandefjord who beat Moss 4-2 earlier to proceed.
Tijan Jaiteh's Brann last year crashed out of the contest in the quarter finals after losing 5-1 to Odd Grenland. They replicated a similar performance stepping out much earlier in round two, following a 1-0 win by Fyllingen last month.
Dawda Leigh and Kristian Brix Valerenga, who went as close to the semis and lost 6-3 to Molde, the same year failed to make it this time around. They bowed out of the contest to Tonsberg in a 3-2 defeat in the second round.
League Leaders Rosenborg will also take on Alta today
