4H holds AGM, vows to invest in youth development

4H Gambia, a Norwegian local NGO based in Farafenni in the North Bank Region recently held its Annual General Meeting in Farafenni.

The day accorded cluster committees to report on its activities and financial report for the year ended.

Presenting the audited and financial reports, Alieu Ceesay, the National Coordinator of 4H Gambia, praised the Board of Directors of cluster committees at the grassroots level for their outstanding support to the organisation.

He said during the period under review, 4H Norway has supported the national office in building human resources, citing their recent study tour to Norway.

The 4H boss also noted that the tour has enabled the member cluster committees and officials of the national office to learn and share experiences on a wide range of developmental issues.

For his part, Bakary Dibba, the Chairperson of 4H Gambia’s Board of Directors underscored the importance the organization attaches to good governance and accountability.

He praised 4H Norway for their support, especially in youth development and skills acquisition.

Bala Dumbiya of Kerr Ngorr in Jokadou and Fana Ceesay of Sara Kunda of Sabach Sanjal thanked the communities for their timely payment of loans.

He noted that it has enabled the cluster committees to invest in meaningful development projects that would enhance income and food productions.

The beneficiary communities applauded the management for organizing the biannual AGM.
