Three people have been arrested, and are currently detained in the Central River Region, CRR, for alleged cattle rustling, The Point has learnt.
Alagie Nyang, Sambou Faye and Galla Loum were arrested on 18th July, detained at Jareng police before being remanded in custody at Jangjangbureh prison, our sources added.
Our sources revealed that the suspected cattle rustlers are due to appear in court next month pending the availability of a travelling Magistrate in the region.
Meanwhile, police sources have told this reporter that, despite a series of sensitization campaigns, cattle rustling remains a big problem in the Central River Region.
