Balloting for the 2016 edition of the National Inter-Departmental Sports Association (NISA) is set to take place on Friday 25 March.
The following day (Saturday 26 March 2016) the Super Cup will be played at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium between the GCAA and Prisons Department ahead of the tournament proper scheduled for Saturday 2 April 2016.
Sulayman Badjie, assistant public relations officer of NISA, said the new deadline for registration of companies, institutions and departments is Thursday 24 March 2016.
A registration fee of D7,000 is set for interested teams.
Interested teams can call any of the following numbers: 9908343, 6767002 or 7660582 and through the NISA representative at the committee, for the process, said Uncle Saul, as he is widely referred to.
He said the defending team is expected to represent The Gambia in Senegal in a regional sports championship with workers of Senegal.
NISA is a sports body comprising major establishments in the country. Its main objective, among others, is organising annual inter-departmental tournaments with a view to developing sport and enhancing the solidarity of workers.
