Samuel George and Ebrima Dampha were recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with conspiracy and stealing.
They denied the charges and were each granted court bail of D50, 000 with a Gambia surety.
According to the charge sheet on count one, Samuel George and Ebrima Dampha, on 14 January 2012, at the Ocean Bay Hotel, in the Kanifing Municipality, conspired to commit a felony, to wit stealing.
The particulars of offence on count two stated that they stole two 20-litre gallons and one 30 gallons of gas oil, valued at D3, 010, the property of the said Ocean Bay Hotel.
The case was adjourned till 27 February 2012.
