Mariama Bah, a 12-year-old girl in Kaur-Jamwelly in the Central River Region last Friday fell into a well, as she helped her mother at the vegetable garden, resulting in her untimely death.
In an interview with the disease’s brother, Hamat Bah, he said “It’s the second time the same scenario had happened in the village.”
According to him, last year another girl also died in a similar circumstance.
Bah appeals to the government, the private sector, philanthropists and individuals to come to their aid to properly cover the wells.
