West coast win Gambia Deaf Sports Association football tourney trophy

West Coast Region Deaf team over the weekend won the 2023 Gambia Deaf Sports Association (GDSA) football tournament trophy following their 1-0 win over Kanifing Municipality Deaf Team in a final played at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.

Both teams played brilliant football during the match.

Pa Musa Drammeh scored for West Coast Region in the first half of the match to clinch The Gambia Deaf Sports Association deaf football tournament trophy.

As champions, West Coast Region went home with a giant trophy and a cash prize of D2, 000 while Kanifing Municipality received a mini trophy and D1, 000 as runners-up.

According to the organisers, the tournament was organised to establish a first ever national U-17 deaf football team for The Gambia.
