West Coast Region Zonal Committee fines Sukuta, forfeits points

West Coast Zonal Committee has fined Sukuta D15, 000 for their misconduct during their 2024 West Coast Region zonal football tournament quarter-final match against Foni on Sunday 17 November 2024 at the Dembadou Mini Stadium.

 Sukuta points were forfeited after the abandonment of their West Coast Region zonal football tournament match against Foni.

The Sukutarians were also banned from playing their West Coast Region zonal football tournament home matches at the Dembadou Mini Stadium next year.

According to the organizing committee of the West Coast Region zonal football tournament, both referee and match commissioner reports captured the abandonment of the match by Sukuta fans, spectators and well wishers shortly after Foni levelled matters in the 90+3 minute of the match.

 The organising committee of the West Coast Region zonal football tournament stated that sukuta fans, spectators and well-wishers threw stones and sands on the pitch shortly after Foni scored their equalizing goal.

According to article 12.1, any team or zone that caused the abandonment of the match, their points shall be forfeited.

Sukuta points were forfeited following abandonment of their 2024 West Coast Region zonal football tournament quarter-final fixture against Foni by their fans, spectators and well wishers.

The Sukutarians shall be liable to further punishment as may deemed fit by the organizing committee of the West Coast Region zonal football tournament.

Sukuta has experienced a lot of unsporting behaviours.
