Wagadu FC wallop Gunjur Utd in 2nd Tier

Wagadu FC on Saturday defeated Gunjur United 4-1 in their re-scheduled week-16 fixture of the 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field.

The Upper River Region boys were contending for survival in the country's Second Tier for another season with 16 points before their match with Gunjur United, who are battling for promotion to the First Division League next season.

Wagadu FC scored four goals in the match to clutch a resounding win over Gunjur United in the Second Tier.

Gunjur United notched in one goal in the match, which eventually proved to be a consolation goal for them.

The win moved Wagadu FC to 12th place on the Second Tier table with 19 points.

Gunjur United remained second-spot on the Second Division League table with 30 points despite losing to Wagadu FC.
