WAFU Zone A U-17 Cup: Gambia U-17 start regular training after completion of screening players

The Gambia U-17 team on Tuesday commenced regular training at the Ousman Saho Football Field at the National Technical Training Centre in Old Yundum, following weeks of intense screening of players selected during a nationwide scouting tour.

Coach Yahya Manneh and his technical team will observe the players in the coming days before trimming down the squad to the required number for the 2025 WAFU Zone A U-17 Cup of Nations to be hosted in Mali next month.

The Baby Scorpions have been drawn against Mali, Guinea Bissau and Liberia in Group A of the sub-regional cadet biggest football showpiece.
