The Academy Boys defeated Misera United FC 4-3 on post-match penalty shootouts after regular time ended goalless in a tightly-contested final played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium on Sunday.
Touray’s Football Academy made a bright start to the match and dominated processings, creating goal scoring opportunities but failed to score thus the first half ended goalless.
Misera United returned from the break with a different approach and their changes formation, enjoying the lion’s share of possession.
However, Touray’s Football Academy remained the brighter side for much of the contest but were unable to unlock Misera United FC's solid defence line thus the match ended goalless.
This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 4-3 in favour of Touray's Football Academy.
As champions, Touray's Football Academy went home with a giant trophy, medals and a cash prize of D25, 000 while Misera United received medals and D20,000 as runners-up.
