“I am very happy for the victory against Brikama and my players performed well,’’ coach Mendy said, adding that Serrekunda West and Brikama both played very well.
‘‘We just had the chance to emerge victorious,” said Coach Mendy.
Coach Mendy revealed that playing against Brikama especially at the quarterfinal stage is not easy, adding that Brikama is a very big zone with respect.
“We wanted to win during the game; unfortunately, we couldn’t but fortunately won on penalties,” coach Mendy said.
The win earned the Westside boys a spot in the last four of the annual super zonal football tournament.
Serrekunda West will now face Serrekunda East in the semifinal of the 2022 GFF Super Nawettan tournament.
