As part of the finals, Milan FC will rub shoulders with Milan Rosseneri in the 2024 Wave sponsored Serrekunda East ‘nawettan’ knock out final on Friday 22nd November 2024 at 4.30pm.
Team Spur FC will play against Goh Bi FC in the 2024 Afrcell sponsored nawettan league final on Sunday 24th November 2024 at 4. 3opm.
It could be recalled that the semi-final match between Team Spur FC and Koign Bi FC played on Wednesday 13 November 2024 failed to produce a winner, prompting the committee to reschedule the match to Saturday, which ended 1-0 in favour of Spurs Youth Team FC.
Nagirou Bojang could have opened the scoring for Koign Bi FC in the 8th minute of the match but his brilliant effort was denied by Spurs Youth Team’s custodian Musa Fatty.
Malang Daffeh’s 25th minute long range strike gave Spurs Youth team FC the lead, which eventually proved to be the winner for the Spur boys.
Speaking to The point Sports Desk ahead of the double finals, Public Relations Officer of SESDO, Babucarr Krubally alias BB, stated that they are very grateful for organising a peaceful nawettan in Serrekunda East this year.
Krubally further stated that they are now close to the end of the Serrekunda East nawettan season.
He revealed that they are going to witness two great finals this weekend.
“As a committee we met our sponsors, wave Gambia and Africell,’’ public relations officer of SESDO Krubally said.
Krubally stated that both Wave and Africell expressed their willingness to support SESDO.
He urged fans and spectators to come out and support their respective teams.
‘‘We played our nawettan without violence; we also want to end the nawettan without violence.
In Serrekunda East nawettan there is no loser looking at the prize money teams earn and the gate takings,’’ Krubally said.
Krubally revealed that ordinary tickets are pegged at D50 and VIP tickets are pegged at D100.
