Serrekunda West nawettan update

The 2023 Serrekunda West Sports Organisation (SWESO) ‘nawettan’ season has entered into the last phase of their group stage matches.

SWESO as they are fondly called, are one of the biggest zones in the country that are producing great skills, performances as well as a lot of goals since they began their nawettan tournament last month.

Janta Bi continued their dismal form in the nawettan after having lost to Jarinton 2-1 during the earlier fixture played on Saturday.

Babu Jatta opened the scoring in the 16th minute of the game before Modou Lamin Dibba leveled the game for Janta Bi in the 21st minute.

Ousman Drammeh scored winner for Jarinton in the 34th minute of the match.

The win earns Jarinton FC 3rd place in Group F with 4 points after three games.

 Janta Bi miserable form continued as they occupy bottom-place in their group with a single point after three matches.

Tababi played a goalless draw against Jatta’s in their fourth group A match played late on Saturday.

The result earns Tababi top spot with 8 points, while Jatta’s occupy 4th place with 5 points in four matches.

 Future Stars thrashed Kanifing Layout  3-0 in  their fourth Group A game played earlier on Sunday.

Ali Fatty opened the scoring for Future Stars in the 61st minute of the match before Mass Jatta netted a brace to earn Future Stars the maximum points.

The victory earns Future Stars top-spot in Group A with 9 points after four games

Kanifing Layout remain bottom-place in their group  with just a single point after four matches.

Jeshwang City defeated B.K. Central 2-1 during their fourth Group A match played later on Sunday.

Babucarr Gumaneh and Sarjo Badjie scored for Jeshwang City in the 33rd and 61st minute of the match respectively.

Gibril Danso’s 86th minute strike only proved to be a consolation goal for B.K. Central.

The defending champions, Jeshwang City secured 3rd position in Group A with 8 points leveling with Tababi.

 B.K. Central occupy 5th place with just a single point, leveling with Kanifing Layout after four matches.

Erinjang drew 1-1with Hunters during their fourth Group B game played earlier on Monday.

Lamin Jarra scored for Hunters in the 12th minute of the match before Esidorr Jatta leveled matters for Erinjang in the 84th minute to share the spoils.

Last year’s Knockout and Super Cup winners, Erinjang now sit 3rd position with 5 points after four matches, while Hunters occupy fifth-position with 3 points in four group games.

Old Hands thumped Junction Bi 2-1 during their fourth Group B encounter played later on Monday 25 September.

Junction Bi took the lead through Modou Gai in the 8th minute of the match before Pa Amat’s and Ba Muhtarr Drammeh’s goals in the 33rd and 87th minute respectively to earn Old Hands the vital three points.

The Old Hands secured 6 points after winning two matches in this year’s Serrekunda West nawettan, while Junction Bi sit 5th position with 4 points.
