Saloum Faal registers vital goal for Gnistan IF

Gambian attacker, Saloum Faal scored a vital goal for his Finnish Second Division side IF Gnistan during their 3-1 home win over Musan Salama (MuSa) in the week-fifteen fixtures of the Finland Second Division League (Ykkonen) played at the Mustapekka Areena on Sunday.

The 24-year-old opened the scoring for his side in the 10th minute of the game with a nice finished to registered his first goal of the season.

Rony Huhtala and Claudio Lucas Maraise Ferreira dos Santos added their names in the score-sheet in the 72nd and 75th minutes respectively to makes it a comfortable win for Gnistan, while Verneri Salminen scored the only consolation goal for MuSa in the 41 minutes of the first half to makes it a 3-1 score-line.

The former Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) and Casa Sports player has now scored his first goal of the season for the Finnish Second Division side after 15 matches.

The Serekunda-born star started his professional career in 2017 with Etelä-Espoon Pallo before moving FC Kiffen 08 in 2018 from Senegalese side Casa Sports.

The Helsinki-based club IF Gnistan currently sits at 10th position in the league with 12 points, while Musan Salama occupies 6th position with 23 points after fifteen matches.
