Ron Mango defeated Fajara South 1-0 in their semi- final match played on Saturday to advance to the final of the annual Bakau nawettan knock out competition.
The keenly-contested clash between Ron Mango and Fajara South clash saw both teams started the match brightly.
Ron Mango dominated the match and created a few clear goal scoring chances.
Lamin Jallow’s last grasp strike was all but enough to earn Ron Mango a place in the final of the annual Bakau nawettan knock out competition.
The Fajara boys fought hard for an equaliser but to no avail thus the match ended 1-0 in favour of Ron Mango.
Luneburg beat Wasulung 5-4 on post-match penalty shootouts after regulation time ended 2-2 in their semi-final match played on Sunday to cruise to the final of the 2023 Bakau nawettan knock out competition.
Kekuta Camara gave Wasulung the lead in the 8th minute of the match before Sulayman Jallow leveled the scores for Luneburg in the 11th minute.
Sheriff Camara scored the second goal for Luneburg in the second half before Ebrima Bobb levelled matters for Wasulung midway into the second half thus the match ended 2-2.
This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 5-4 in favour of Luneburg.
