Real retain top spot in GFF 1st Division League

Real de Banjul has maintained their lead at the top of the table standing in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League.

Real de Banjul defeated Hawks 2-1 during a game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on Tuesday.

The Whites took a two-goal lead through Alasan Camara's stunning free kick and Baboucarr Touray's well taken long-range effort in the first half, while defending champions, Hawks scored their only goal through Remi Mendy.

The win ensured Real de Banjul stay at the top of the table standings with 18 points, while Hawks occupies first-from-bottom (13th) position with 7 points.

Falcons beat Team Rhino 1-0 during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

The Blue Army scored their only goal of the game through Edward Ndicky’s strike in the 55th minute.

Falcons moved to 2nd position with 15 points, while Team Rhino dropped to 9th position with 11 points.

Brikama United and Wallidan shared the spoils after a goalless draw game played at the Brikama Box-Bar Mini Stadium.

Brikama United sit 12nd position with 9 points, while Wallidan occupies 6th position with 13 points.

Marimoo Pakfood were held to a goalless draw by PSV Wellingara during a game played at the Bakau Mini Stadium.

The result puts Marimoo at 3rd position with 14 points, while PSV Wellingara languished at second from bottom (15th) position with 5 points.
