Real held in Gambian Premier League

Real de Banjul were on Wednesday held to a 1-1 draw by Fortune during their Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League game played on Wednesday.

The game was played at the Live Your Dreams Sports Academy in Basori.

Alieu Barry gave Fortune the lead in the 11th minute, before Abdoulie Ceesay restored parity for Real de Banjul a minute into the second half.

Real de Banjul occupy 2nd position with 22 points, while Fortune sit 8th position with 16 points.

The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) defeated Wallidan 2-1 during a game played at the KG5 Mini Stadium in Banjul.

The Blues took the lead in the 20th minute through talisman Abdoulie Manneh, but goals from Kabiro Barrow and Francis Cole in the 29th and 44th minutes gave the Soldiers the maximum points.

The win move GAF to 5th position with 18 points, while Wallidan drop to 4th position with 19 points.  

Samger defeated Gamtel 1-0 during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

Alieu Kuyateh's 85th minute goal was all but enough to help Samger collect the maximum points.

The win moved Samger to 6th position with 18 points, while Gamtel occupy 9th position with 15 points.

Banjul United beat PSV Wellingara 3-2 during a game played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Captain Pa Omar Babu opened the scoring for the City boys in the 9th minute, but Ousman Jammeh equalised for the Wellingara-based outfit in the 39th minute.

PSV Wellingara took the lead through Jerreh Marong in the 59th minute, but Pa Omar Babu completed his brace with an 86th minute equalizer for Banjul United.

As the match looked destined for a draw, Muhammed Mbye stunned PSV Wellingara with a minute left to play to give Banjul United the maximum points. 

Banjul United sit 10th position with 14 points, while PSV Wellingara occupy 14th position with 9 points.

Marimoo Pakfood were held to a 1-1 draw by struggling side, Waa Banjul during a game played at the Bakau Mini Stadium.

Waa Banjul took the lead in the 62nd minute through attacking midfielder Momodou Salieu Jallow who just returned from the U-20 AFCON tournament in Cairo.

Marimoo Pakfood ensured they continue with their unbeaten run when Yakuba Jallow restored parity for them in the 71st minute.

Marimoo Pakfood sit 3rd position with 19 points, while Waa Banjul maintain their position at the relegation zone with 9 points.
